Competency to Stand Trial

A competency to stand trial evaluation is an assessment ordered by a judge to determine the defendant’s ability to understand the proceedings against him, ability to assist in his defense and whether the defendant’s mental disorder has affected his competency to stand trial.

Criminal Responsibility/Insanity

An evaluation to determine whether a defendant with a mental disease or mental defect was not able to distinguish criminal behavior at the time of alleged criminal acts.

Disability Evaluation

A comprehensive assessment designed to assess an individual’s mental health diagnosis, prognosis, and suggestions for how treatment might better facilitate return to work.

Independent Medical Exams

A comprehensive mental health evaluation conducted on an employee

Risk Assessment

An evaluation to determine degree of risk for violence or suicide

Fitness For Duty

Fitness-for-Duty Evaluation is a formal, specialized evaluation of an employee that results from (1) objective evidence that the employee may be unable to safely or effectively perform a defined job; and (2) a reasonable basis for believing that the cause may be attributable to a psychological condition or impairment.
